About MEHi, I'm Elizabeth, your local Birth Doula & Photographer in the Knoxville area.

Iโm a self-proclaimed birth nerd, and have been interested in birth work for many years. After moving back to my hometown of Knoxville, TN in 2025 I felt the call to open up my own doula services business.
HOW IT STARTEDI always dreamed of this.
I am a Knoxville native, lifelong learner, and birth doula with a deep reverence for the transformational power of birth.
My journey into birth work didnโt begin in a classroom. It began in 2019, headphones in, listening to The Birth Lounge Podcast. What started as curiosity quickly turned into something much deeper. I felt truly radicalized by the information. Empowered, awakened, and hungry to learn more, I read nearly every birth book I could get my hands on, soaking up stories, evidence-based practices, and perspectives that reframed birth as something intuitive, powerful, and worthy of protection.
While living in Atlanta, Georgia, that passion became personal. In November 2024, I welcomed my daughter, Rosie, into the world with the loving support of an incredible midwife and doula. Experiencing that level of care firsthand and feeling held, informed, and deeply supported changed me. I remember thinking, this is it. This is what I want to pour into other families.
In January 2026, I opened Knox Birth Doula LLC, bringing my heart for birth back home to East Tennessee. As a Knoxville native married to my high school sweetheart, this community is woven into who I am. I know the hospitals, the culture, and the rhythms of this area, and Iโm honored to serve families right here where my own story began.
As your doula, I believe you deserve to feel informed, confident, and supported. You should never feel rushed, dismissed, or alone. My role is to walk alongside you with steady presence, evidence-based education, and compassionate advocacy, helping you feel grounded and empowered as you prepare to meet your baby.
Birth is sacred work. It is an honor to hold space for it, and for you.
my philosophy I believe inโฆ
๐ The sacredness of birth and the unique journey of every birthing person.
๐ The strength and intuition inherent in every birthing body.
๐ The transformative power of informed choices and empowerment during childbirth.
๐ The natural ability of women to birth, trusting that their bodies were created for this.
